Leaving New Hampshire we drove a couple hours further north to BoothBay Harbor Maine. We had never heard of this place before but a group member on Facebook spoke highly of the area and Shore Hills Campground in particular so we decided to take a look. Shore Hills was a great stop. Well cared for grounds, hiking trails, and fairly spacious sites with open or wooded sections There is a section right on the bay (not large enough for a big rig), and there is an island tied to the mainland with trails and their own rocky point. Here is a link to the campground and a picture of one of the nicer sites
Link. We had full hook ups, good satellite and Verizon 4G but the campground wifi worked great!

A Large wooded site with your very own New England stone wall!

We spent several days exploring Boothbay Harbor. The town is filled with small shops and great places to eat. Since we were here early in the season, there were no crowds and we had a very relaxed visit.
